SUMMARY:Sale of Diane Marinaro Paintings
DESCRIPTION: \n\n\n\nDear Art League Friends – \n\n\n\nAs many of you know\, the art community lost one of its beloved members\, Diane Marinaro\, this past June at the age of 107. \n\n\n\nA respected artist and teacher\, she taught at the Wethersfield Art League (WAL) for over 20 years until mobility issues made that difficult. However\, she continued to paint at home with friends up until the last few years as is reflected in several of her interior still life paintings. \n\n\n\nDiane left behind many works which reflect her changes in style through the years\, even including an egg tempera piece dating back to her student days at Yale School of Fine Arts.  Most are finished\, signed and framed\, but there are several that are not framed and a few that were unfinished. Her art is displayed as it was received from the family. \n          \n\n\n\nWe are grateful that through the generosity of her family\, the WAL has been made the recipient of a portion of Diane’s legacy.  An exhibit of her works\, with opportunity for purchase\, will be on display at the Little Red Schoolhouse\, 193 Wells Road in Wethersfield.  We would like to open to the members of the Wethersfield and Newington Art Leagues first to give you all the opportunity to view the exhibit before we open it to the public. \n\n\n\nWe invite you to the schoolhouse during Open Studio times on Mondays from 10am – 2:30pm and Thursdays from 11:30am – 1:30pm.  Cash and checks are preferred\, but we can arrange a credit card sale over the phone.  The exhibit will then be open to the public after a workshop on Saturday\, October 11th from 1:30 – 4pm and Sunday\, October 12th from 10am – 2pm.  If any pieces are left\, we will continue during open studio times up until November 3rd. \n\n\n\nAll sales are considered a donation to the Wethersfield Art League. \n\n\n\nQuestions may be directed to WethersfieldArtLeague@gmail.com.
