SUMMARY:Paint Pour Beach Scene Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join a paint pouring experience to create a beach scene without brushes\, using swirl pouring techniques.Materials are included\, and participants are transported to a sun-soaked beach they craft themselves.The activity emphasizes creativity\, spontaneity\, and a unique art form\, offering a relaxing\, hands-free way to produce stunning beach-inspired artwork. \nThis workshop will take place on Saturday\, October 17 from 10 am – 1 pm. These colorful pieces celebrate the “happy accidents” where art is created by \nencouraging the materials to reveal their magic in community with the artist. Amy \ngraduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern CT State University with a double major in \nSculpture and Art History. She enjoyed being a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum for \nmany years. For the past five years she owned Studio 13 in East Hampton\, an independent \nart studio offering paint and sip workshops\, paint pouring and children’s art classes. In \nFebruary 2024 she moved to the quiet corner of CT and now lives and works out of the \nhistoric Brigham Tavern in Coventry. \nAmy has been formally studying Sound Healing locally\, and in 2024 she was accepted into \nthe prestigious 9ways Academia certification program (only nine students are accepted a \nyear)\, a premiere sound healing school in Pennsylvania. \nOver the last few years Amy has been exploring the connection between creating art and \nmental health\, developing unique programs that combine art and sound to help facilitate \nwell being. She has presented these programs at schools\, libraries\, for social service \ndepartments\, corporate wellness days and in private settings. She believes in the power of \ncreative community and the ripple effect it has on society. \n
