Sculpting Demonstration

September 10, 2026 (this is the second week of September)

Diedre Sassano demonstrates sculpting a portrait in clay and shows you that it is both fun and wonderfully meditative. In this demonstration, the instructor will show step by step how we measure and prepare a blank and will show various stages of portrait sculpture from start to finish. We will cover how to set up properly and how to stay on track and troubleshoot anything that arises.

This should help anyone, whether they are beginners or experienced in sculpting, understand that it is not a stressful undertaking with a clear approach. We will also cover different tools and participants will be able to work on some of the demo pieces.
